Hey everyone,
I've been digging into the disappearance of Sherry Jean Pickle, and something that's piqued my interest is the mention of a male companion she might have been with. There isn't much concrete info out there about him, but I'm curious if anyone has come across newer insights or theories on who he could've been. The fact that this angle hasn’t yielded any significant breakthroughs in all these years makes me wonder if this lead wasn't properly pursued or if it's just a dead end. Does anyone have any thoughts or updates on this aspect of the case?
It's so frustrating how cases like Sherry's hit these walls. Her family deserves to know what happened after all this time. Let’s keep sharing whatever little bits we find to bring Sherry home.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the route Sherry might have taken when she went missing. Given the time frame in 1972, hitchhiking was relatively common, but it also posed significant dangers. Coronado Avenue and Broadway was pretty busy. If she was indeed heading to Borrego Springs or Los Angeles, there must have been a lot of vehicles passing through, potentially witnesses who might have seen something. It’s possible someone out there still remembers picking up a young girl around that time but didn’t realize the significance of it. I wonder if any efforts were made to track down people who frequently traveled those routes back then, like truck drivers or salesmen. Their recollections could provide valuable clues if they were working in the area during that time. Does anyone know if there were specific news appeals or flyers distributed to commuters or businesses along those highways?
