Has anyone dived deep into the details surrounding Synanon when it comes to Rose Lena Cole? It's so unsettling that a rehab center could have had such a grip on someone, to the extent that it becomes cult-like. I can't stop wondering about the other people who were there around the same time. Did any of them also go missing, or have they shared similar disturbing experiences? I feel like there must be more to uncover here. Anyone know of other cases tied to Synanon, or have insights on how places like this managed control over people?

I recently came across Rose Lena Cole's case and something about Synanon is just fascinating yet disturbing. For those not familiar, Synanon started as a rehab center but later spiraled into this bizarre, controlling cult, right? I wonder how much of that environment played a part in Rose's disappearance. Especially since she was a teenager, so vulnerable and already facing tough times. How did a place that should have been helping turn into a potential danger? It’s disappointing to think that what was supposed to be a safe environment might've been the exact opposite. If anyone has any thoughts or knows more about Synanon's practices around the time Rose was there, I'd love to hear more. I'll just never understand how these places manage to operate under the guise of ‘helping’. Wondering if the investigations ever looked into the people who managed Synanon, or if they were too locked down for anyone to get real answers.

Has anyone ever wondered about what life at Synanon was really like for those kids forced to be there? I came across Rose Lena Cole's case, and I can't stop thinking about the conditions that she and others must have endured. The place started as a rehab center, but by the time Rose went missing, it sounds like it was more of a cult than a safe haven. It makes me question how many others might have fallen through the cracks in similar circumstances. Rose's letters from Chinatown are haunting, especially given the mention of health issues like her kidney infection. How desperate must she have felt to choose living on the streets over returning? It’s puzzling how a facility intended to help could have such a dark underside. Does anyone else have more information about Synanon during that time? Maybe understanding its dynamics might shed some light on Rose's disappearance.
