I've been digging into Virginia Erickson's case, and something that puzzles me is the store David claimed to have dropped her off at. It's 1973, and Sweet Home was a pretty small town back then. Has anyone looked into what store it might have been and if anyone who worked there was ever questioned back then? It seems telling that there might be no records or witnesses from that location on the day she disappeared. If David's story about the store check-out were true, wouldn't someone have seen her, even if just in passing? It's frustrating how these details get lost with time. Also, the fact that he didn’t report her missing is so suspicious to me. Has anyone else come across more info or theories on this part of the timeline?

Has anyone else been following Virginia Erickson’s case? I came across an article mentioning how she was seeking medical care for her pregnant daughter before she vanished. Considering what we know now about David's history and his convictions, this detail is pretty significant. It makes me wonder whether Virginia was planning something more—maybe she was gathering courage and evidence to confront or expose David further? The timing just seems too coincidental. It’s so frustrating that, despite all this, there wasn’t enough to pin down what happened to her. It feels like there is such a thick wall around the truth in this case. Would love to hear what others think about this aspect.
