It's always intrigued me how the timing was handled in the Johnson case. How does a whole family disappear in November, and no one seems to notice until March the following year? It makes you wonder about the interactions they had with neighbors and friends. Did no one inquire about Freda or the kids? It seems strange that a family could go unnoticed for that long. The fact their landlord was the one who reported them missing is, to me, a reminder of how sometimes those we least expect can play pivotal roles in trying to solve these mysteries. Just feels like a big missed opportunity in those critical first months. Anyone else find it odd how long it took for the authorities to be alerted?
It's baffling how a family can vanish and the case stays cold for decades. I recently stumbled upon this case and can't get over the fact that their landlord was the one to report them missing! Four months before anyone realized something was wrong? It's hard to imagine. What was going on in those months? It's especially puzzling that Freda's clothes were left behind but nothing from the kids. That seems to me like a major red flag. Anyone else think that points to this being planned out in advance? And what about Henry's double life with all those aliases? It raises so many questions about who he might have been involved with and what really happened. Anyone know if there have been any updates since it was reopened in 2004? It's a haunting story that seems to leave no stone unturned, yet there are so few answers.
It's baffling how Henry Lee Harbison was able to completely vanish with the rest of the family, especially considering his criminal past and use of multiple aliases. With the investigation back then suffering from a lack of proper communication, it's almost like he was given a head start. What puzzles me is why none of his aliases have surfaced since 1974, if we assume he's still out there somewhere. Could it be that he had associates who helped him create a completely new identity? Or maybe he somehow managed to leave the country, where nobody would connect him to this case? With the case being reopened in 2004, I wonder if there's any chance they discovered new leads about where he might have gone. It's so frustrating knowing how much time slipped away due to the initial mishandling of the case. Anyone else think that digging into his past connections might still hold some overlooked clue?
