I've been thinking a lot about the suspicious vehicle mentioned in Nathaniel Austin's case. It strikes me as strange that a light blue 1970s Chevrolet—kept so clean—would just be overlooked as part of this investigation. I'm curious if anyone in the community recalls seeing the car around other times? It seems like such a distinctive vehicle in a neighborhood.
Given how Nate was known for carrying cash, perhaps the person in the Chevrolet knew this or had been scoping out his home beforehand? It's chilling to consider, but could help those of us interested in this case piece together what might have led to this terrible event.
Also, for anyone who might have lived near 545 E. Zion at the time, did your neighborhood ever have any reported burglaries or suspicious activities around that period? Even the smallest detail could provide a crucial piece to the puzzle, especially if it involves unfamiliar cars or people observing the area.
Thinking of Nate's family and all who've been patiently waiting for answers. Let's hope we can bring some closure to this case. Feel free to share any untold stories or memories you have here.
I keep thinking about the impact this must have had on Nate's students and the music community in Tulsa. Not only did they lose a cherished teacher and mentor, but to have it happen in such a violent way is just awful. I remember someone mentioning the car—the light blue Chevrolet with the unidentified driver—but hasn't there been more detail about any potential sightings?
I know it's been years, but someone must have more info beyond just the car. Maybe there was another car, like a lookout or something similar? Could one of Nate's former students or even a nearby neighbor remember anything useful that they haven't yet shared with the police due to fear or forgetting?
For those in the area or familiar with the older music community in Tulsa, even seemingly insignificant details might help fit the pieces together. Perhaps even specifics about where Nate liked to go or people he might have known. Keeping his memory alive can potentially light the way to more clues. If anyone can shed some light, please contact the Tulsa Cold Case Unit. Let's try to do what we can to bring closure to those who loved him.
