Has anyone looked into the pretzels found near the car in Mary Opitz's case? It's always struck me as odd that she was last seen with them and then they were just left behind. Could they have been significant to her disappearance? I know pretzels sound trivial, but in a well-lit parking lot with no witnesses, every little detail could mean something. If Mary was inclined to just leave suddenly, why not take the snacks with her or at least be seen by someone else in the area? Were they checked for fingerprints or any other forensic evidence back then? It's frustrating how small details like these might hold a clue but seem to fade into the background over time.
Hey everyone, I've been looking into the disappearance of Mary Opitz and something that's been nagging me is the lack of eyewitnesses. I mean, it was 7:30 p.m. at a busy shopping mall, people around, lights on, and yet not a single person saw anything? It just doesn't add up. I've been thinking, could there be someone out there who saw something but didn't realize its significance at the time, like maybe they noticed a car parked awkwardly or someone acting strange but brushed it off? Sometimes people remember small details only when prompted later. Maybe it's a long shot, but I wonder if fresh appeals with the right prompts might jog someone's memory. Just throwing it out there—every little bit might help. Thoughts?
