I was reading up on Anthony Tyrone Woodson's case, and one thing that's always puzzled me is how this all went undetected back in 1981. Times were different, sure, but how does an entire community not piece anything together for years? If Terry and Della were “disciplining” Anthony so harshly, it's hard to believe there were no outward signs. Were neighbors and family just not noticing, or was there more at play keeping people quiet? Also, why didn’t the initial investigation catch more inconsistencies in Terry's story? It's frustrating to think about missed opportunities that could have brought justice sooner.
