I’ve been following Maribel Oquendo-Carrero’s case and came across an interesting lead that hasn't gotten much attention. I read about a similar incident in the area a few months before her disappearance where another child was approached by someone in a vehicle but managed to run away. I wonder if there could be a pattern here? Maybe someone in the neighborhood has seen something similar or knows more about that vehicle. This could be a crucial clue, especially since Emiliano was reportedly seen driving with a child who looked like Maribel afterward. It makes you wonder if this wasn’t the first time he tried something like this. If anyone knows anything or remembers hearing about children being approached in Homestead around that time, it could be worth looking into again. What do you all think?

I was recently reading about Maribel Oquendo-Carrero’s case, and something struck me. Has anyone considered the role Emiliano's dementia might play in getting new information? I know he's in a nursing home now, and his memory issues complicate things. But could there be a chance, however slim, that he might let something slip now that he doesn’t hold the same fear or reluctance as before due to his condition? Sometimes people with dementia talk about the past more freely without realizing. Could investigators try to communicate with him subtly to see if he recalls anything that might help? Just wondering if this avenue has been explored or if it's a completely off-base idea.
