I came across the case of Ronald Allen Douglass recently, and something that hasn't been discussed much caught my attention: the religious group he was traveling with, the Whitey Gleason Trio. Does anyone know much about them or what their travel itinerary was around the time Ronald disappeared? It's curious that he intended to travel alone after being with the group for so long. Was this a common thing for members, or did something else happen that might have prompted this change? The note he left seems a bit cryptic given that he hasn’t been heard from since. Just trying to piece together any more information about that group or its members could help shed light on this decades-old mystery. Any insights would be appreciated!

It’s so perplexing to think about Ronald Allen Douglass's case. I can't help but wonder about that note he left behind for the Whitey Gleason Trio. Was it really his idea to travel alone, or could there have been some external pressure? Given his medical conditions, it seems unlikely he'd choose to venture out on his own without any support. It's tragic that this note is pretty much the closest thing to a clue about his intentions. Has anyone looked into whether his companions from the trio ever tried to connect with him after his disappearance or if they noticed anything unusual about his behavior leading up to that day? Considering he went missing back in 1983, it's so disheartening that neither the authorities nor his family have been able to find any new leads. If anyone has thoughts on this or additional details, it would be great to hear from you.
