Hey everyone, just joined this discussion about Ruben Humberto Herrera's case and I can't stop thinking about that strange call to his uncle. Given the caller used personal nicknames, it seems like they had to have been someone the family knew well, right? It makes me wonder if this was planned by someone close to Ruben. Especially when you consider how quickly they demanded a ransom. It’s so bizarre and chilling to think about how someone within the stepfather's family circle, like Raymond Acosta, could have potentially been involved. But why the specific amount of $300,000? Does anyone else find that oddly specific? It feels like a puzzle piece that might reveal more about motive or their relationship to the family. I hope they revisit these financial aspects if new leads ever surface.
I've been following Ruben Humberto Herrera's case for a while now, and something that’s sticking out to me is the mysterious Cadillac connection. How did that car play into all of this? From the info, it seems like authorities recovered this silver and green Cadillac that was suspected to have been used in the kidnapping. If there’s any truth to it being used to take Ruben across the border, I wonder what leads or clues were found inside the vehicle, if any? It's strange how a car can disappear for a while, supposedly involved in something so significant, and yet offer no answers once found. You'd think there might be forensic evidence or traces inside that could have painted a clearer picture. Anyone know if anything conclusive ever came from that angle of the investigation?
It’s been decades since Ruben’s disappearance, yet I can’t help but get stuck on the Cadillac. It seems like such a key piece of this puzzle. The authorities recovered it, but does anyone know if they found anything inside or if it was tested for any kind of forensic evidence? It just bothers me that the car was abandoned and there's no mention of what was inside. Maybe there’s something that was overlooked or not released to the public? It’s frustrating that something so concrete could still leave us with more questions than answers. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
