I was just reading about Eugene Martin's case again, and something struck me about the timeline when he was last seen. It was between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. when witnesses saw him in a seemingly friendly conversation with a guy in his 30s. For some reason, I keep thinking about how specific yet odd that detail is. I mean, who has friendly chats with strangers at that early hour, especially when the person is a kid trying to finish a paper route? It almost sounds like the man might have been someone Eugene had met before or perhaps someone from the neighborhood who he considered trustworthy at first glance. It makes you wonder why nobody around noticed anything unusual or suspicious, especially given what had happened to Johnny Gosch just two years prior in the same area. It just feels like there's a small piece of the puzzle missing that could provide more insight. Thoughts?
