I've been going through some old missing persons files for a project and came across the case of Althea Lanelle Rogers. One thing that's been bothering me is the note she left behind saying, "Lanelle Rogers NO LONGER EXIST!" Such a cryptic message. Do you think it was a sign of distress or maybe an attempt to start anew somewhere else? The fact that she used multiple aliases just adds more layers to this mystery. It makes me wonder what was going on in her life prior to her disappearance that might have pushed her to write something like that. Would love to hear others' thoughts on what the note could signify!
Did anyone else find it intriguing that Althea Lanelle Rogers went by so many aliases? I mean, using different names like Lanelle Rogers, Althea Thornton, and Althea Hankins—what's that about? Were these just personal choices, or was she hiding from someone or something? ? It’s puzzling how this might have tangled up the investigation, especially since back in the 80s, record-keeping wasn’t as connected as today. I wonder if her using various names ties into the cryptic note she left or her sudden decision to empty her bank account. It seems like she had a plan, but what was the endgame? Anyone else have thoughts on how these aliases might have played a part in her disappearance?
Still holding out hope that someone remembers something or finally comes forward after all this time. ?
