Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Myrtle Ann Green Hudson case from Port Arthur for a while now, and something about the timeline just keeps bugging me. I can't shake off the thought of how someone like Tommy Lee Stewart, who had a known violent history, managed to fly under the radar for so long. I mean, what's the point of having a criminal record if it doesn’t help in solving or even preventing these tragic cases sooner? Back in the ‘80s, was there not enough coordination between law enforcement agencies around here? Or was it just harder to track these individuals due to lack of technology? It’s haunting to realize how Myrtle’s family had to wait until 2008 for that DNA link that shed some light on what happened. Just wish there had been more scrutiny back then in sharing info about people like Stewart. He shouldn’t have been able to hurt more people. Anyone else have thoughts about how cases like this slip through the system? It's frustrating to think about it and what's even more chilling is that Stewart could be up for parole in a few years! Feels like it shouldn't even be an option... ?
