Hey everyone, I've been following Hattie Juanita Burton's case for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is the timing of her stepmother's call that day. Ruth Burton talked to Hattie around 10:00 a.m., but then when she got back home, Hattie was just...gone. No sign of struggle, and none of her stuff was missing, which seems odd. Given that Hattie was responsible and had a lot going on, it seems unlikely she'd just leave without saying something. I've been wondering if anyone recalls anything unusual in the area around that time—maybe a suspicious vehicle or someone who seemed out of place? Or are there any locals who remember any rumors going around back then that weren't taken seriously at the time but might be worth revisiting now? It's been so long, but anything might help.
