I came across the Ellis Faison case recently and was struck by how his hat was found in a neighbor’s yard. I can’t help but wonder if this was a sign of a struggle or if he dropped it while wandering in distress. It’s odd because a hat doesn’t just move itself. Could he have been trying to get help? Or, if foul play was involved, maybe someone left it there intentionally to throw off the investigation? It's frustrating that something that seems like a piece of the puzzle hasn't led to more answers after all these years. Does anyone know if the area was thoroughly searched back then, or have there been any new searches in recent years? I just hope his family can someday get closure.
