Anyone else find it odd that, despite a joint investigation between Seattle and Portland, there’s still barely any info on John Alley’s case? It’s been decades, and we still don’t know much beyond the fact he went missing on his way back from visiting friends in Oregon. Were there any camera sightings or toll records from that period? I understand it was 1990, but there must be something more tangible to grasp onto. Maybe there are witnesses out there who didn’t even realize they saw something significant. Sometimes people recall details years later when they see cold cases resurface. Hope someone comes forward soon with info!
Has anyone else looked into the route John Alley would have taken from Oregon back to Seattle? I've been checking old maps and wondering if there were any areas prone to accidents or places where a car might go unnoticed. It's such a heavily traveled corridor now, but I wonder how it was back in 1990. Maybe some of you locals or history buffs have insights on any road conditions or constructions at the time? Anything that could help point to why there were no sightings or evidence of him making it home that day might be useful for piecing this puzzle together.
Hey everyone, I was reading about the mysterious disappearance of John Alley back in 1990, and I found myself really curious about something. Does anyone know if there were any reports of unusual weather conditions or problems with the roads around that time between Seattle and Portland? I wonder if something unexpected might have happened during his drive back. There’s so little information, and any small clue might help us form a more complete picture. Anyone have expertise with the road conditions in that region or tales from that time they might want to share? Could lead to some fresh perspective on his case.
