Has anyone else been fascinated by the role of the black rose in Charles Otto Brandt Jr.'s case? I've read that it's a known death threat in some circles, but I'm curious if this was specific to the local gang culture back in the early '90s or if it's a broader symbol. The presence of that black rose on his car just before he vanished sends chills down my spine. It's such a haunting detail. Does anyone have more info or theories about how seriously this was taken by law enforcement at the time? It's odd that something so ominous could still leave us in the dark about what happened to him. ?
