I came across George Stultz's story while researching unsolved cases from the late 60s, and it's been weighing heavily on my mind. He was just trying to help manage traffic amidst the chaos when he was tragically killed. It’s so poignant to think of someone volunteering in a moment of so much unrest, trying to do something good, only to be met with such senseless violence. I can't imagine the pain his family must have felt and still feel, knowing his killer was never found. With the tension and upheaval back then, I wonder if there's anyone still out there who might remember some crucial detail or have new insight into that time. I hope his family someday gets the answers they deserve. Does anyone know if there have been any recent efforts to revisit or re-investigate these old cases, perhaps with new technology or techniques?
Does anyone else find it deeply unsettling how George Stultz's murder seems to have been overshadowed by the larger events of that time? I've been digging through some old newspaper archives, and there’s so little about the investigations into his death despite him being an innocent volunteer only trying to help. It just strikes me as incredibly tragic that a man who was trying to do some good amidst all those tensions was taken from his family in such a senseless way. It seems like his case got lost in the chaos of those days, and I can't help but feel for his family, knowing that they never truly got the justice or closure they deserved. If anyone knows any more details about the efforts to solve his murder, I'd really appreciate it. Surely there's someone out there who witnessed something or knows more than they've let on?
