Does anyone else find it odd that James moved away with their son so quickly after Maria's disappearance, cutting off all forms of communication? It seems like a drastic step, especially considering he didn't even inform Maria's family about the trip until weeks later. The fact that he prevented any mention of her is just baffling to me. Why wouldn't he want their son to remember his mother or talk about her? I understand grief manifests differently, but this behavior raises a lot of questions. Also, does anyone have details about his life between her disappearance and his passing in 1998? Anything that might hint at his state of mind or behavior during those years?
