I recently came across the 1970 Cold Case of Donald D. Smithson while delving into Ohio’s unsolved mysteries, and it truly resonates how time doesn't diminish the impact of loss. It’s so tough to fathom the lingering pain for Donald's family and friends, who have been waiting for justice for over five decades. I wonder if there were any local rumors back then that never made it to the police, or if there's someone out there with a memory that could hold a piece of the puzzle. Sometimes, even a seemingly trivial recollection could provide a breakthrough. It must have been frustrating for the investigation team, too, not having immediate leads to follow. Here's hoping with modern techniques and maybe some community effort, the case might take a fresh direction. It could take just one person coming forward to reignite the investigation. Hoping for some progress soon; the family deserves answers after all these years.
