Does anyone have any theories about that service station where Rebecca and Nicki were last seen? I keep thinking there might be more clues there that were overlooked. It seems odd that there wasn't any security footage available, even for '91. Maybe someone who stopped there that day saw something that seemed insignificant at the time? With so many cars coming and going, it can be easy to miss details. If someone recalls seeing Rebecca or maybe another vehicle of interest, it might shed more light on the timeline. Plus, public places like that tend to have a lot of eyewitness potential. Just a thought as we try to piece more parts of this heartbreaking mystery together. Anyone with info from that area back then could still make a difference.
Hey everyone, I've been going through the Rebecca West case archives and noticed something I hadn't really thought about before. Does anyone else think there might be more to where Tarbert was during the time window when the girls went missing? I mean, it's so strange that Nicki was found, but there's literally no trace of Rebecca. What if Tarbert had an accomplice, or maybe there was someone else who had a motive to keep Rebecca hidden? I know he confessed under a no-contest plea, but the lack of evidence connected to her makes me wonder if we might be missing a piece of this puzzle. Also, I've read about cases where the location where a body was found was not the actual murder site, leading me to think—should we be looking into areas other than those initially searched? Thoughts?
Does anyone know if there were ever any follow-ups on Michael Tarbert's possessions at the time of his arrest? I’m curious if investigators ever shared details about what, if anything, was found in his car or home that could potentially point to where Rebecca might be. Given that Rebecca’s body was never recovered, you’d think they would meticulously go through everything associated with Tarbert, hoping for any clues that could give closure to her family. Sometimes even the smallest overlooked detail could hold the key. If there are any case files available regarding this, it would definitely be worth a closer look. It’s been decades, yet someone's got to keep the hope alive that she’ll be found. Maybe connecting the dots from old evidence might lead to new discoveries.
