So, I was just thinking about the dynamics of Wilda Jean Cross's case, and something struck me as particularly intriguing. Why isn't there more focus on the phone call her husband claimed Wilda made after she disappeared? Like, I know it's been years, but shouldn't it have been crucial to verify this call back then, especially since it came from a person who went missing under such puzzling circumstances? I mean, if there's any way to check phone records from that time, would that help confirm or debunk his story? Or has anyone else reported getting similar calls? It feels like an important piece of the puzzle that hasn't been fully addressed. Just thought I'd throw this out there to see if anyone has any theories or insights.

Does anyone else find it strange that Wilda's husband claimed she called him after she disappeared? If that call really happened, where's the phone record? Nowadays, it's hard to imagine a missing person calling her partner and that call just disappearing without a trace. Of course, the early 90s were different, but there should have been some sort of documentation or record, right? I wonder why this claim was never verified, or if it was even possible to substantiate it. Maybe investigators didn't have the technology at that time to track calls? Also, it's curious he delayed reporting her missing. I can't decide if he genuinely believed she was fine or if there's more to explore there. What do you think? Please share if anyone has come across similar cases from that era.

I find it so puzzling that Wilda's husband delayed reporting her missing for three days. In situations like this, time is of the essence, and a delay can be crucial. I wonder if he had any specific reason for waiting, or if he genuinely thought Wilda had just taken some time for herself. A call from her after she disappeared seems like something that should've been shared with law enforcement right away to potentially trace the call or gather more information. Has anyone heard if there were ever any follow-ups or investigations into that detail? It's those little things that might hold the key to reopening new lines of inquiry. What do you all think?
