Hi everyone,
I came across Erma Comer's case while browsing the Ohio Attorney General's website and it just struck me how one little piece of information, something seemingly insignificant, might be what finally solves this tragic case. Erma was a part of the Dayton community, and surely back in 1978, someone might have seen or heard something. It's been over four decades, and yet, her family still doesn't have the answers they need.
I can’t help but think about the advancements in forensic technology since then. I wonder if there were any items or evidence collected at the scene that might benefit from a fresh DNA analysis. What if there's something that could be re-tested with today’s technology? It’s so frustrating to think that the solution might just be sitting there, waiting for the right analysis or the right tip from someone who remembers that day.
Her family deserves closure, and until that happens, I guess all we can do is keep sharing her story and hope that someone, somewhere, comes forward with the missing piece of this puzzle. If anyone thinks they might have even a remote connection or memory of the time, I seriously urge you to contact the authorities. It could make all the difference.
Let’s not let Erma’s story fade away. Sending strength to her family and hoping for justice. ?
Take care everyone.
It's truly disheartening that Erma Comer's case has remained unsolved for so long. With cold cases like these, it's easy for time to erode the urgency, but we can't let that happen. I'm curious about the advances in forensic technology—have they re-examined any evidence recently? DNA analysis and other modern techniques can sometimes find the smallest clue that was missed initially. I hope they are using every resource available to look into Erma's case again. Her family deserves answers, and knowing modern methods are being utilized can at least provide some hope that justice is still possible. If anyone knows more about how often such cases are re-evaluated with new technology, that would be insightful. We can never bring Erma back, but we can remain steadfast in urging the authorities to keep pushing for answers.
