Hey everyone,
I've been following William "Bill" Comeans' case for a while, and something that's been on my mind is the way his previous assaults were handled before his tragic death. It's chilling to think that William survived not one but two attacks in the months leading up to his murder, both with such similarities in the method used by the attackers. It seems like these incidents weren't fully explored at the time, which could have been a crucial part of the puzzle.
I'm left wondering if there were any witnesses back then who might have seen something unusual during those earlier attacks. With today's interconnected world, perhaps someone out there remembers small details that could corroborate any possible links. It doesn't seem coincidental that he was targeted in such a specific manner more than once. These instances sure make you question whether someone had a vendetta against him or if he was just another victim of chance.
It's agonizing to think of what William and his family endured. I sincerely hope that sharing and revisiting these aspects can keep the momentum going and that fresh eyes might spot something previously overlooked. Let's continue keeping Bill's story alive in the hopes of one day finding the justice he deserves.
Stay safe and keep sleuthing!
It’s been over four decades, yet the case of William Comeans still sends chills down my spine. I just came across some details about the investigation and can’t help but wonder about that night. With the chaotic scene and the way evidence might’ve been compromised by so many people trying to help, it must have been a nightmare for those first on the scene. I mean, what must it have felt like for William’s brother to be the one to cut the scarf off? It haunts me just thinking about it.
I understand hindsight is 20/20, but the whole lack of struggle at the scene, combined with no items missing, just goes to show how complicated these cases can be. It was a different time, and things that we now take for granted in preserving crime scenes just weren't as rigorously followed, unfortunately. I sincerely hope advancements in DNA and forensic technology can piece together what happened, for the sake of his family. It's the least they deserve after all these years. Anyone else heard of recent cases where old forensic mistakes were rectified?
