Hello all,
I've been digging through old news articles and forums about the tragic murders in Oakland from 2008, particularly the unsolved case of Curtis Robert Holden. I stumbled across something that really struck me—the challenges his family has faced in getting much-needed attention on his case. It feels like Curtis's story got lost among the many others during that grim year for the city.
It's really important for us in the true crime community to keep these stories alive. Each one represents someone who was loved and is deeply missed. If anyone has suggestions on how to raise awareness or if there's been any recent movement in the case, sharing that information could be incredibly helpful to Curtis's family. Thanks in advance, everyone. Let's hope they find some peace and answers soon.
I’ve been following Oakland's crime issues from back in the early 2000s, and Curtis Robert Holden’s case always stood out as particularly tragic. I read somewhere that he was a talented artist trying to make a positive impact in his community. It’s incredibly sad to think that someone who was striving to bring beauty into the world ended up being a part of such grim statistics. You can often sense the frustration and pain from his family through their efforts to keep his memory alive and raise awareness. It must be so hard for them, especially with the case still being unresolved after all these years. I hope they eventually find the justice and peace they seek. Does anyone know if Oakland PD has reopened old cases like this one? A resolution would mean a lot to his loved ones and the community.
Has anyone else been following Curtis Robert Holden's case? I was looking into some of the broader issues of gun violence in Oakland back in 2008, and his story really stood out to me. It's so frustrating to see another unresolved case when you know there's a family out there still waiting for answers. What blows my mind is that the case has been cold for so long despite the number of people affected by gun violence in that area back then. You’d think more attention would have been placed on solving such cases to help bring closure to the families. Does anyone know what measures, if any, have been put in place since then to prevent similar tragedies or support families like Holden's? It seems like more should have been done, both then and now.
