Does anyone remember the case of Nicole Santa-Cruz from 1997? It's been so long, but I came across some old newspaper clippings online, and it's really stuck with me how little there is about her disappearance. I grew up in an area not far from Philly around that time, and it's just chilling to think that someone so young could just vanish. I find it strange that the father's story about the babysitter was never verified. Like, how does that even happen? I'd be interested if anyone has more info on why there wasn't a more solid investigation around that claim. Was it ever confirmed if the babysitter was even real or if law enforcement found anything at all related to her? I really wish there was more out there about this case or that it had gotten more media attention over the years. It feels like Nicole didn’t get the justice she deserved as a child who went missing. If anyone digs into old cases like me or has any insights, I'd love to discuss how these things could fall through the cracks.
