Anyone else find it odd that her family only realized Amanda was missing by 6:00 p.m.? I mean, what happened during that whole day when she didn't show up at school? It sounds concerning that no one noticed sooner, especially when her routine was still so new. I'm wondering if she followed a different path to school than she usually did, which is how Patrick might have seen her but not anyone else. Or could there have been any communication issues with the school, like they didn't reach out to the family earlier? It just feels like a lot could have happened in that time lapse. Would love to hear if anyone has more insight into that gap.
Has anyone ever delved into what might have been happening at school around the time Amanda disappeared? I’ve been thinking about this detail because her path to school and the people she might have encountered there could offer some missing pieces to this puzzle. Especially since she was new to the area, I'm curious if there were any reports of bullying or if Amanda mentioned any conflicts with students or staff. It's strange to me that she never even made it to school that day, or at least that's what it sounds like from what we know. And if they were planning to run, wouldn't it have been less risky to do so in the evening or over the weekend? Considering Patrick went missing shortly after, it makes me wonder if there’s more to the school environment that hasn’t been thoroughly explored. Would love to know if anyone has more insight into this aspect!
Has anyone looked into the possibility of Amanda's disappearance being connected to any other missing persons cases from around the same time? Given the strange circumstances—including both Amanda and Patrick vanishing—I'm wondering if there might be a broader pattern that investigators might have missed. The Midwest has had its share of mysterious disappearances, and it's always a possibility that cases could be linked. Even if the link isn't obvious, exploring this angle might bring some new leads to light. If anyone has information on other cases with similar circumstances, it might be worth bringing them to the forefront for a fresh perspective. This case is baffling, and sometimes the smallest connection can break things open. Thoughts?
