Has anyone ever considered the possibility that Mary might have wandered farther than initially suspected before reaching the dumpster? I know it's a long shot, but what if she was last seen closer to the dumpster but actually walked past it that morning? Given her condition and the time of day, she could have ended up somewhere unexpected, maybe even outside the initial search area. I really think expanding the search grid back then might have been beneficial. Plus, wouldn’t additional interviews with people who took similar early-morning routes have been helpful? Any thoughts on how common it is for witnesses to come forward after such a long time?
It's so perplexing how Mary's car keys and glasses were found neatly by the stoop outside her front door. This detail has always struck me as peculiar. It seems to indicate she had no intention of leaving her home for long. If she truly wandered into the dumpster herself, how did she manage to leave such important personal items behind? I can't help but wonder if there might have been a last-minute distraction or confusion that led her there. Has anyone else considered this aspect of the case?
