I've been intrigued by cold cases and recently stumbled upon the mysterious disappearance of Jose Luna from Las Cruces back in '97. What really has me curious is the role of the acquaintances. Who were these people who reportedly told his sister he might have been killed? Were they ever questioned thoroughly by the authorities? It's odd how such a serious claim didn't seem to lead anywhere. With so little to go on, I wonder if they were trying to protect themselves or if they truly knew something substantial about Jose's fate. It's frustrating when hearsay is all we have, yet it feels like a crucial piece of the puzzle might be right there. If anyone has insights or theories about this, I'm all ears.
