Has anyone else looked into the rumors about an antique car connection in the Hazelrig and Fortson disappearances? I find it curious that they were supposed to check on a car the day they vanished. Considering Hazelrig's hobby of collecting antique cars, is it possible that this planned inspection was somehow connected to their disappearance? Could they have been targeted by someone within the car collecting community or perhaps stumbled into something bigger than they anticipated? I know it's been years, but sometimes these little details open up new avenues for investigation. What do you guys think about this angle?

Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on the Hazelrig and Fortson disappearance from back in '98, and one thing that's been gnawing at me is the Isuzu pickup truck being set on fire. It's so weird that it was completely destroyed but no one was inside or left any blood evidence behind. For those who have looked into similar cases, how often do you see vehicles used as a diversion or to cover tracks in disappearances like this? Could it imply that whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing? It just seems bizarre that they couldn’t trace anything back from that. Any insights or theories?

I’ve been diving into the Hazelrig and Fortson case, and something that caught my attention is the location where their truck was found burned out. Warrior Valley Road in Etowah County isn’t exactly a bustling area, especially back in 1998. It makes you wonder why their vehicle ended up there of all places. Did they have some kind of connection to that area, or did someone specifically take the truck to that location to set it ablaze? Also, it's puzzling why the truck was completely destroyed without any trace of them. The lack of physical clues makes it even more frustrating. It seems so premeditated, almost as if whoever did this knew what they were doing and chose that spot for a reason. Anyone else have thoughts on the location or the motives behind the fire?
