Does anyone else find it incredibly puzzling that despite the use of a .25 caliber automatic weapon, there seems to be no trace of it whatsoever? It’s been nearly four decades, and yet the firearm used to kill Amy was never recovered. How does a weapon like that just disappear without a single lead? I feel immensely for her family and the ongoing frustration they must feel with every year that passes without answers. With such a tight-knit community, you’d think there’d be someone who might have seen something or heard about a discarded piece of evidence. I can’t help but wonder if advances in forensic technology could potentially reveal something that was missed before. If anyone has ideas or expertise on how weapons are traced in cold cases, it would be great to hear your thoughts. Amy’s family deserves to know what happened, and any piece of the puzzle could make a difference.
