Has anyone else been following the Arland Anderson case? I came across his story recently and can't stop thinking about how his family must feel decades later, especially with so few answers. It's so frustrating that someone out there knows what happened that night on March 20, 1989, but has stayed silent all these years.
I read that the authorities are using a cold case database to try and shed more light on what happened. It makes me wonder if someone in the area just remembers a small detail, something they might not have realized was important at the time. Sometimes, it's the tiniest bits of information that can lead to a breakthrough in these cases.
To anyone in Akron or the surrounding areas, if you observed something odd or suspicious back then—no matter how minor it seemed—it could be worth mentioning to the authorities. Let's help give Arland's family the closure they deserve. He was only 24, and he deserves justice just as much today as he did in 1989.
Hi everyone,
I've been reading through posts about Arland Anderson, and something that caught my attention recently is the location of the incident. The intersection of West Thornton Street and Raymond Street. For those of you familiar with Akron, do you recall this area being frequented by any specific groups or known for particular activities back in 1989? I wonder if there were any witnesses who might not have realized they saw something important or if someone remembers anything unusual from that time.
It’s truly difficult to think about how Arland lost his life so suddenly and that no one has been held accountable yet. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have lived with this uncertainty for so long. Maybe by revisiting the environment and community dynamics from back then, we can help piece together some parts of the puzzle. Any insights or memories about the area would be greatly appreciated.
Stay safe and take care, everyone.
