Hey everyone,
I've been reading through the discussions here and wanted to bring up something that crossed my mind when thinking about Stanley Schirmer's case. It's really puzzling how a murder just outside a busy place like the New Orleans bar could go unsolved for so long. One thing that strikes me is the possible influence of lighting and visibility in the area where Stanley was shot.
In 1989, the street lighting might not have been as effective as it is now, potentially making it harder for anyone to get a clear look at the shooter or anything significant. I wonder if anyone around here is familiar with how that section of Watervliet Avenue was lit back in the day. Could poor visibility have played a role in why witnesses couldn't provide more details to the police?
My heart goes out to Stanley's family—it must be incredibly difficult not having closure after all these years. If anyone remembers anything about the area or has ideas on what might have happened, it’s still important to share. Every bit of info could be crucial for his case.
Thanks for listening and keep sharing your thoughts.
Take care,
