I’ve been following Chanelle Smith’s case for a while, and it just doesn’t sit right with me that her tragic death has gone unresolved for so long. This happened over 30 years ago, yet it still feels like more could be done to bring answers to her family. I came across a memorial for Chanelle on Find a Grave, and it really touched me—a little girl whose life was stolen far too soon yet is still remembered by total strangers who never had the chance to meet her. It’s important to highlight that the Columbus community and beyond can play a crucial role here. Authorities still actively seek the public’s help to solve Chanelle’s case. Sometimes it just takes a small piece of information to bring a case back to life. If you or someone you know might have details about what happened that day, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please consider reaching out to the authorities. This family deserves justice and some semblance of peace. Anyone else here with thoughts or any news on this cold case?
