I came across the Fredrick Lehr case on my usual deep dive into cold cases, and can't shake how much of a mystery it still is. The thought that his family and friends have had to live all these years without answers is just mind-boggling. One thing that's always intrigued me is the location where Fredrick's body was found – 100 West Franklin Park. It's such a public area. How could something like this happen there without anyone noticing or remembering anything significant?
People pass through parks all the time, and it's hard to believe there wasn't a single person around who could have noticed something unusual. Maybe someone saw something back then that seemed insignificant but might be important now. I know memories can fade, but I think it's worth reaching out to anyone who was around that area in 1989. Even if they don't think they can add much, they might have a piece to the puzzle that they aren't even aware of. My heart goes out to Fredrick’s loved ones—it must be unthinkable to still be searching for answers decades later.
Hello all,
I recently came across the old case of Fredrick Lehr from back in '89, and it's really been on my mind. Does anyone else find it puzzling how little information there is about his whereabouts before his murder? I mean, 100 West Franklin Park was a busy area back then, right? It's hard to believe that nobody saw or heard anything unusual around the time of his death. I wonder if the focus was ever put on talking to people who might have been in the area that night—like dog walkers or people heading home late from work. It just feels like there must be someone out there who saw something that didn’t sit right with them at the time.
For Fredrick's family and friends, who have been living with this uncertainty for decades now, I can only imagine how much they want answers. I hope sharing more about this case can help jog someone’s memory. If anyone recalls anything or knows someone who might have been in the area during that time, it might be worth reaching out to BCI. Every little bit could help bring some peace to those who knew and loved him.
