Raymond Samuel Poland, known as Ray, was 35 when he was last seen in Erie, Pennsylvania, on August 22, 2001. He is described as a biracial man with reddish-brown hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 165 pounds, with scars on both forearms and a mole on his right forearm.

Ray had moved to Erie several years earlier with his brother and held various jobs, but struggled with alcoholism and experienced periods of homelessness. He frequented local homeless shelters, and a missing person report was not filed until a year after he was last seen. His family has not had contact since August 2001, and his mother has said she believes foul play may be involved. The Erie Police Department has investigated but his whereabouts remain unknown.

If anyone knew where Raymond spent his time in Erie or has information about his disappearance, please come forward.
