Has anyone else found it odd how Daniel Ingram, aka Daniel Proper, started liquidating Fairbank's things almost immediately after his disappearance? It just seems very suspicious to me, especially since John's family was not informed. Selling someone’s belongings like that without clear evidence that they won't return seems off. Fairbank was known to travel, sure, but if it was unusual for him not to inform anyone of his plans, wouldn’t it be equally unusual for a roommate to assume he’d permanently abandoned such valuable possessions? Also, the story about Cuba feels like a stretch. It's as if Ingram wanted to create a narrative to throw off any initial inquiries. I wonder if authorities have explored any financial records or transactions made by Ingram around that time. Could those sales have been part of a cover-up? It's details like these that can sometimes open up new avenues for cold case investigations.
Has anyone else been following the John Frederick Fairbank case from Tualatin, Oregon? I recently read about how his roommate, Daniel Ingram, claimed that John went to Cuba, despite being super private and not the type to leave without informing someone. And the fact Ingram started selling John's things immediately after he vanished is quite suspicious. Given that it's been over two decades, it makes me wonder if there was a deeper motive, maybe financial? Selling a person's truck and antiques isn't something you do on a whim. I'm curious if anyone has more information on Daniel's background or any other incidents that could link to this. Sometimes looking at other parts of someone's life can help. Thoughts?
