Hey everyone, I've been digging into Roy Allen Clark's case lately and couldn't help but ponder a question. With the massive evacuations and chaos during Katrina, there were a ton of unofficial rescue efforts by private boat owners. Does anyone know if Roy might have been picked up by a Good Samaritan or a rescue team that didn't keep records? There's not much info on whether efforts were coordinated or chaotic in the area around Port Eads, especially right as the storm hit. I wonder if anyone has come across any reports or has info on rescue logs or testimonies from that time. It seems like such a small piece of the puzzle, but who knows what might turn up. Thoughts?
Has anyone looked into the currents and tide patterns around Port Eads from August 28, 2005? I wonder if they could provide clues on where Roy might have ended up after he was last seen. Also, given the chaos of the evacuation and the storm surge from Katrina, would it have been possible for a small boat like Roy's to disappear without a trace? It's just baffling to me that so many were lost and never found. With all the recent advancements in technology and tracking, maybe there’s a way to revisit these cases with new methods. If anyone has connections to researchers or anyone who might take an interest in this, it could be worth a shot. Thoughts?
