**Could Auggie Have Hitched a Ride?**
Hey everyone, I've been following Auggie Floyd's case for a while and something keeps nagging me about that night he vanished. We all know his car, the black '95 Cadillac with the bungee cord trunk, disappeared along with him. But I keep wondering, is it possible Auggie left the party intending to hitch a ride back to Suttons Bay after the altercation? If he was already upset and the night wasn’t going as planned, maybe he decided to cool off, leave the car behind temporarily, and that’s when something happened. It's not uncommon for college students to hitch rides in those situations, especially back in 2007 when cell phones weren’t as ubiquitous.
Is it far-fetched to think someone at the party or someone passing by offered him a ride, and that person or group was involved in what happened next? Even though his car went missing too, maybe it was later moved by those same people to cover up what happened. It could help explain why both Auggie and the car just vanished without a trace. Just a thought that’s been on my mind since we don’t have a clear timeline after he was seen near his car. Would love to know if anyone else thinks this might be a plausible lead or if anyone has heard whispers about hitchhiking being a possibility in cases like his.
Anyone else think there's something off about that party Auggie attended? I’ve heard a lot of speculation, but not enough focus on what might’ve really gone down between Auggie and the people at the Isabella Indian Reservation. He supposedly got into an altercation, but there's so little info about who was involved or what it was about. The fact that he went back after being asked to leave seems so concerning to me — did he know someone there well? Or was there something he forgot and needed to pick up? Also, that black Cadillac DeVille must’ve stood out; I wonder if anyone else noticed it parked or leaving. It feels like too many people saw too little, especially with it being classified as a probable homicide a year later. Thoughts?
