Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where Rikki Burkhart lived. From what I've read, the community on South Riley seemed pretty tight-knit, which makes this whole situation even more baffling. How could something like this happen without anyone noticing or coming forward? I wonder if there was something more going on in the area back then that maybe didn't make it into the news. It's such a small town vibe, and it's hard to believe that no one saw or heard anything useful.
It must be so painful for those who knew Rikki, having no answers for so long. If anyone lived in Franklin around 1998, do you remember any unusual happenings or incidents in the area? Perhaps even something that seemed insignificant at the time could be crucial information now. The passage of time might give us more context or allow memories to resurface that might unlock some piece of this puzzle.
My heart goes out to Rikki's family and friends who are still waiting for closure. We can't let his case fade away. If you know anything, please consider reaching out to the authorities.
Stay safe, everyone.
I've been thinking a lot about Rick "Rikki" Burkhart's case. It's just so sad how it seems to have gone cold despite all the efforts. One aspect that's always puzzled me is the location of the crime—his own home at 523 South Riley. It’s supposed to be the one safe space you have, you know? I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been for him to be attacked there, in a place that should've brought comfort and security.
Being a part of the Franklin community, I'm really hoping that people who might know anything— however small it might seem—will come forward. It’s been so many years with no arrests, and his family deserves answers. If even the smallest detail comes to light, it could be the key to finding justice for him. Remember, if you have any information, reach out to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office or the Franklin PD. Let's hope this year brings some breakthroughs.
