Has anyone else been puzzled by the behavior of Ernesto Gonzalez in the Giovanni Gonzalez-Colon case? I'm curious about the conflicting information around his confession. On one hand, he confessed to such a horrific crime, yet there was no evidence found in his apartment to back up his claims. Authorities seem skeptical of his confession, and I can’t help but wonder if this was an attempt by Ernesto to derail the investigation or protect someone else. Given the lack of evidence, could it be possible that Giovanni really was taken somewhere else, maybe even to Puerto Rico as his mother suspects? It feels like there are more layers to this than meet the eye, and I wonder what the real story is behind Ernesto’s statements. Thoughts?

I've been following the Giovanni Gonzalez-Colon case for a while now, and something about Ernesto's confession has always seemed off to me. We've all read the reports that he claimed to have disposed of Giovanni's body in trash bins, but with no physical evidence to back it up, I can't help but wonder if he fabricated the story for some other reason. Why would he admit to something so heinous if it wasn’t true? Also, I've been thinking about Ernesto's alleged ties to Puerto Rico. If Giovanni was taken there, wouldn’t there be some kind of trail? It’s hard to believe that a child could just vanish without a trace, especially if family was involved. I feel like there must be something more to the story that hasn't come to light. Does anyone else think there might be a possibility he’s still out there somewhere? ?

I’ve been following Giovanni’s case for some time now, and one thing that really stands out to me is the mysterious lack of physical evidence despite Ernesto's confession. It's puzzling that there was no trace of forensic evidence in the apartment or anywhere else. It makes me wonder if Ernesto was telling the truth about what happened to Giovanni or if he’s hiding something even more sinister. Could he have been trying to mislead investigators for some reason? I mean, it's incredibly rare for someone to admit to such a horrific crime and yet leave no trace at all. Anyone else have thoughts on why there’s such a discrepancy between his confession and the lack of evidence? It's frustrating but also gives me a sliver of hope that Giovanni might still be out there somewhere. Would love to hear everyone’s theories or similar cases where a confession didn’t really add up.
