Has anyone else looked into Derek Washington's case from Dayton back in '99? I spent some time yesterday diving into old news reports and couldn't help but notice how much the local community still seems to feel the weight of this tragedy even after all these years. It's really sad to think how Derek's family and friends are still waiting for answers. The details are thin, but I was wondering if there was ever any mention of possible connections to other unsolved cases from that year or even earlier. It seems like during that time, violent crime was a big issue in the area. It just makes me think someone might have noticed something unusual but never realized its significance. Sometimes connecting the dots between cases can lead to a breakthrough. I'm just hoping more awareness can be generated and someone out there might remember something that could help. Even the smallest pieces of information could be crucial here. If anyone here lived in or around Montgomery County back then and recalls anything at all, it might be worth reaching out to law enforcement again. Let's hope Derek's family gets the closure they need soon. ❤️
