Has anyone looked into the mix-up with the hospital records? I can't shake the feeling that there's more to be unearthed there. It's bizarre that Stacy's case was closed for a bit due to that error. Could it be that something or someone at the hospital might hold a clue? Medical facilities usually have strict security measures in place, like CCTV and check-out protocols. If she really left the hospital, there should be some footage or records indicating what happened. Has anyone mentioned whether those security tapes were ever reviewed? It's almost as if she vanished into thin air, which seems almost impossible with all the surveillance these places have. I hope the police revisited this angle after reopening the case. Does anyone have info on this?

I was digging into Stacy Renee Lester's case and noticed something that seems odd. Her sister was the one to pick her up from the hospital, but by then, Stacy was already gone. There's so little info on what happened in that short timeframe between her call and her sister's arrival. Did she leave with someone she knew, or did something go wrong at the hospital itself? Hospitals usually have security cameras, but I've never found any mention of whether footage from that day was reviewed or if it turned up anything. Does anyone here know if this angle was thoroughly checked? It's mind-boggling how quickly the investigation was closed due to that initial mistake. Such a critical error might have cost valuable time and evidence. If anyone is from the Sumter area and recalls anything from that time, even the smallest detail could make a difference. Thoughts?
