I've been following the tragic case of Vanderlei Szczepanik and his family, and something that really stands out to me is the role of the community center where they were living. It's so unsettling to think that they were part of a community while they faced such danger from people they trusted. I often wonder about the atmosphere at the Christian Community Center during that time. Did anyone notice any tension or odd behavior from the men who worked with Vanderlei? With all the families living and working so closely together, you'd think someone might have noticed something off. It's just another layer to this complicated and tragic story, and it makes you question how people can hide such sinister intentions right under the noses of others.
