I recently came across Larry Riegel's case, and something really caught my attention that I haven't seen much discussion on. After his disappearance, Larry's EBT card was used by his girlfriend, Ladena Mann. While she was charged with welfare fraud, those charges were dropped after repayment. Why would she use his card knowing it could look suspicious? Was she just not thinking about the implications, or is there something more to her involvement in Larry's disappearance that we're missing? It's unsettling that she remains a person of interest. Anyone have any thoughts on why the charges would be dropped after repayment and not further investigated? Seems weird to me, given the circumstances.
Just came across Larry Riegel's disappearance and found an interesting angle. Apparently, his EBT card was used multiple times by his girlfriend, Ladena, after he went missing. While she was charged with welfare fraud, the charges got dropped once she paid everything back. However, it's peculiar that no one seems to know what Larry was up to in the days leading to his disappearance and how his card kept getting used. Could she have been involved more than she's letting on, or is her explanation plausible? It's baffling that even with these red flags, we're still lacking concrete answers to his whereabouts. I’m curious, has anyone else seen similar cases where financials played a big role in the investigation? ??️‍♂️
Hey everyone,
Something struck me as odd while looking into Lawrence "Larry" Riegel's case. I noticed that his longtime battle with alcohol addiction isn't often discussed in depth, yet it could be a factor worth exploring. I've read a few studies suggesting that people struggling with addiction sometimes disappear due to overwhelming personal issues or to seek help on their own terms. Larry had a significant neck injury that must have added to his stress, on top of everything else.
Could it be possible he left intentionally to sort through his personal battles? I know it doesn't explain everything, especially with Ladena Mann's involvement and all that happened afterward, but perhaps he could have vanished to start anew, escaping the pressures he felt in his daily life. Maybe a more thorough investigation into local shelters or treatment centers from that time could provide some overlooked leads? Just thinking out loud here. Anyone else have any thoughts or insights on this angle?
