Did anyone else find it strange that Richard Parker's truck was just left at the Mountain View Lodge near Lake Brownwood for a few days before anyone noticed something was off? I mean, it's not a small area, but still, a truck just sitting there should've caught someone's attention, especially with his shoes and soda cans nearby. I wonder if there were any security cameras around that might've captured him? It's just unsettling thinking about what those final days might have been like for him, struggling with Alzheimer's and away from home without his medication. It's a relief the remains were identified, but how he ended up there is still a mystery that bugs me. Anyone have thoughts on why he might have headed toward Lake Brownwood in the first place?
Seeing the 2022 discovery of Richard Parker's remains has really made me wonder about what happened in those crucial days after he left his home. Given his Alzheimer's, I keep going back to the detail about his truck being found at the Mountain View Lodge. It makes me curious about whether he had a history with that area or if something or someone might have influenced him to drive out all the way there. The fact that his shoes were left behind near the lodge is so puzzling to me. Could it suggest he got out voluntarily and maybe went for help? Or was it more indicative of someone else being there? It’s unsettling to think we might never have the answers to these questions. Anyone else have thoughts or theories about why he wound up at the lodge?
