Does anyone have more information about the husband she supposedly remarried in Arizona after her divorce in '42? It seems like this could be a significant lead, but I haven't seen much discussion on it. Was there anyone who actually met him or knew his background? It's so baffling that there's little trace of her plans or who she connected with in Arizona. It makes me wonder if her new marriage played a role in her disappearance or if she was actually planning to return to Texas when she vanished. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
Has anyone been able to find out more about Smith's life after she moved to Arizona? It's such a mystery that she just vanished after saying she was heading back to Texas. I've been trying to find any records of her apparent second marriage but haven't come up with anything solid. Maybe someone has access to Arizona marriage records from the early '40s? Also curious about the letter she sent before she disappeared – was it ever confirmed if she actually intended to make the move, or could it be possible someone else wrote it? Sometimes it feels like old cases get shuffled to the bottom of the pile, but any fresh sets of eyes or ideas might finally give her family some answers.
