I was reading about the disappearance of Mark and Diana Yoli and felt compelled to discuss the playground aspect of their case. It's so haunting to think about how a usual and safe place for children became the start of this long, tragic mystery. Military bases like Camp Lejeune often have tight-knit communities, and one would assume a certain level of safety, especially in the early '60s. It makes you wonder if everyone was perhaps too relaxed about the security of the area, assuming nothing bad could happen so close to home. Were there reports of strangers in the area around that time? Does anyone know if the playground itself was checked thoroughly? It's eerie to think such a hub for innocent activities could potentially have dark secrets. Would love to hear any thoughts or connections people might have regarding this angle.
