I've been researching the disappearance of Leonard Johnson Jr., and something that's always puzzled me is about the extent of the local police searches. From what I've gathered, they did search his neighborhood and other parts of the city, but does anyone know if they conducted any searches outside of NYC at the time? Given the lack of solid leads, you'd think they might have looked into areas where he had friends or relatives, in case he left the city for some reason. It's just so perplexing how he seemed to vanish without a trace, and I wonder if the search parameters might have been too limited initially. If anyone has more detailed information about how exhaustive these searches actually were, especially outside of NYC, I'd be really interested to hear about it.

Has anyone else ever looked into the details surrounding Leonard Johnson Jr.'s last day before he went missing? I find it so baffling that he was last seen in his own neighborhood with no signs of anything unusual happening. I've been curious about what his typical day was like before March 1, 1975, and if anyone noticed anything different, even if it seemed insignificant at the time. With no clear leads from the initial interviews, I wonder if someone might remember a small detail or something that didn't feel right back then. Sometimes it's those tiny things that can make a difference. Would love to hear any thoughts or insights, especially if you have a background in cold cases or criminal investigations.
