It's been decades since Charles R. Fletcher vanished, and I'm curious about the impact of his military service on his life. He was a WWII vet with battle injuries, and I've read that vets sometimes faced health challenges that weren’t well understood back then. Given his disorientation periods due to head injuries, I wonder if there were signs or incidents leading up to his disappearance that friends or family might have noticed but didn’t piece together at the time? It's truly perplexing how someone can just vanish despite having such recognizable features like his scars and metal plates. I feel like there might be missed connections or reports that didn’t link back to him simply because people weren't aware of his situation. Does anyone know if there were any outreach efforts among veterans or maybe checks in hospitals around the time he went missing?
